How long do we keep Personal Data/information?
- The period for which we retain information varies according to the use of that information. In some cases, there are legal requirements to keep data/information for a minimum period of time. Unless specific legal requirements determine otherwise, we will retain information no longer than is.
- Personal data/information may be provided by you through registering woth Med Doc and its affiliated platforms. Personal data/information provided by you when registering for an account will be held for as long as you interact with us. Following termination of your communications with Med Doc Healthcare, your personal data/information shall continue to be retained for a period of seven years following the date of termination of the account in accordance with Irish statutory limitation periods. Personal data/information provided without registration with be retained for as long as you remain active and for a 30-day period of inactivity, following the expiry of which time we will contact you. Following the expiry of the limitation period any personal data/information held by us will be destroyed.
How does Med Doc Healthcare protect personal data/information about me?
- We ensure reasonable administrative and all other measure to safeguard personal data/information against loss, theft and unauthorized uses access, uses or alterations. Security and testing are performed on systems containing any personal data/information to verify the control effectiveness.
Making a complaint and who do we disclose Personal data/information to?
- Complaints can be made and or submitted to gp@meddoc.ie. As a user of the our website or other communication platforms you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission.
- Med Doc Healthcare disclose your information to third parties only when you have authorised Med Doc Healthcare or its affiliated bodies to do so. As well as when it is necessary as part of business practices or when there is a legal or statutory obligation to do so. Whenever we disclose information to third parties, we will only disclose that amount of personal information necessary to meet such business needs or legal requirements.
- Med Doc Healthcare may employ other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, including marketing, and providing analytics assistance. From time to time, we may also share personal data/information or non-personally identifiable information with third-parties that we have engaged to perform certain services in connection with the operation of certain aspects of the Med Doc Healthcare, including to customize, deliver, measure, analyse, improve and support our services, content, advertising and layout, your interaction with those aspects, and to deliver more relevant messages and advertisements to you. - Med Doc Healthcare may provide information, when obliged to do so under the Data Protection Law and in response to properly made requests, for the purpose of the prevention and detection of crime or apprehension/prosecution of offences against the State(s).

Exercising your rights and opting out:

You can always opt-out of receiving future commercial e-mail messages from us or request that your information be removed from our systems.
- You can request all data be removed from our database and we will confirm your request within 21 days of receipt. We will process your request within 30 days of receipt.

We may refuse to comply with the request but only in accordance with our rights under Data Privacy Legislation.

If Med Doc Healthcare confirm we are processing your Personal Data, then we will provide you with a copy of that Personal Data information. If you require additional copies, this may be accompanied by a specific fee.
- Right to have inaccurate information rectified
If the personal information Med Doc Healthcare hold is inaccurate or incomplete, you can have it rectified. If we have shared this Personal Data for consultation with another relevant 3rd party relating to your profile, wewill let the 3rd party know about the rectification and advise you who they are, where possible.
